EMG Base Camp I - Maintenance PDF Print E-mail

Base Camp I - Maintenance kicks off on October 13th.  Bad news though, this year we have heats, lighting and bathrooms.  Base Camp has a new location 5200 West 94th Terrace in Overland Park Home of Synergy Heath and Wellness Dr's Tom Teter and Ryan Stevens.

This isn't P90X, Cross fit or Boot Camp; you can keep that.  We are sport specific for athletes and people with a purpose and who want to train to be better endurance athletes.  Our team of Coaches, Trainers and athletes have utilized this training for years and consistently gotten faster and have been on the podium and seen new personal best.  Our staff has actually used this training and does it themselves while racing and improving year after year, we practice and teach only what we know and have seen proven.  Our results speak for themselves and our team is dedicated to making you better, no matter what your goals or ability level is.

Base Camp I this year is going to be better than ever before, be more specific to you and your goals as well as still add cardiovascular fitness while maintaining your gains from 2010.

Athletes must be signed up by October 1st so that they can complete a basic bio-mechanical analysis the week before camp with our staff of Doctors and USAT level I coaches.  We will put each athlete through a series of test to determine what their baseline is and so that they can be appropriately grouped and get the absolute most out of their training.  Whether you are an advanced, beginner or anywhere in between we will dedicate specific training just to you making you stronger, more balanced, efficient and just plain better based upon a baseline testing and the sport specific training.

Camp will run Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 starting October 13th through December 15th culminating with our EMG Urban Adventure Race.  Each session will have one hour dedicated to core/strength training and another hour comprised of an aerobic, cardiovascular training.  Most importantly this training will be appropriate for where Midwestern athletes should be in October, November and December.  Our goals are simple:

1-Make you fitter and faster but not to overstress your system too early in the season or build fitness to fast.  Summer 2011 is still a long, long ways off.  Maintain what you have and build a better foundation to absorb even more when you need to.

2-Keep you injury free.  Our core/strength training is intended to make you more efficient, balanced, stronger and to utilize all the muscle groups and principles that top tier athletes use.  If you are broken you cannot take part in sport, it is that simple.

3-Have fun.  We want athletes of all ability levels and backgrounds.  You bring the passion and we will take care of the rest, while in the process we will have a great time.  Our staff has accomplished plenty but we won't waste your time telling you about it : )

Sign up today, we close this camp when it is full and it has sold out the last 2 years every session.

Registration for Base Camp I opens on August 8th early evening.  Team EMG members will get 50% off entry fee.  Price for 10 week camp, Urban Adventure Race and base line bio-mechanical analysis is just $225
