Ben Schloegel, Professional Triathlete/USAT Level I Coach/Fire Fighter and Co-0wner of Endurance Management Group
8 Top 10 ironman finisher, 7x Age group champion and multiple USAT All American. Ben has completed 18 Ironman races including Hawaii 3 times (once as a pro). In addition to racing as a professional for the past 3 years, Ben also works as a fire fighter for the city of Kansas City, MO on Truck 8 serving the East side. He is co-owner and creator of Endurance Management Group--the regions premier coaching, camps and clinics company.
Ben did not grow up racing as an athlete but was introduced to the sport by his cousin Bob in his early twenties and has only been swimming, biking and running for the past 8 years. He believes that balance, consistency and hard work is fundamental to the success for athletes of all ability levels and that being a better athlete should make you better at everything else you pursue in life. Ben lives in the Kansas City area with his dog Sammy and enjoys dressing like a gnome wearing a speedo. When he is not racing, coaching or at the fire house he keeps very busy with his family and friends and drinking coffee as well as being active in Big Brothers and Big Sisters. www.benschloegel.com

Jeffrey Whitecotton, AKA “Whitey”, USAT Level I Coach, Co-0wner of Endurance Management Group
By juggling his roles as air traffic control specialist while maintaining his vital role as a USAT level I coach, bike mechanic and bike fit specialist, Jeff brings a unique skill set to EMG. Adding to that skill set is his wealth of athletic knowledge.
Jeff was a gold medalist in the 1972 Junior Olympics for field hockey and a three-time Junior Olympic participant in '72, '76 and '78. A little later in life he fine-tuned his fitness and became an aggressive bicycle road racer in the 90s. Like all of us here at EMG, he found his true love in the heart of triathlon, and has made that his focal point ever since. He has captured several top-place finishes in local age group triathlons, has numerous ½ Ironman finishes, two 12th place age group Ironman finishes in '07 and '09 (PR: 10:54:45) and has run the Boston Marathon. |

Josh Wolf USAT Level I Coach, NSCA & ACE-Certified Personal Tainer, Co-0wner of Endurance Management Group
Josh completed his first triathlon in 2005. He was instantly hooked after winning his age group despite the fact that he had no background in swimming and barely engaged in any running at the time. Since then, he has vastly increased his multisport skill-set, placing 1st in his age group in nearly every local race. In addition, Josh has qualified and competed in the: 2006 USAT National Age Group Championships, 2007 USAT Long Course World Duathlon Championships and the 2008 USAT Long Course National Championships. His results in 2009 lead to earning USAT Honorable Mention. Also, it should be noted that he passed on a first-round roll down spot to Kona last year with a 9:53 Ironman Louisville debut!
Josh holds B.S. in Kinesiology; currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology and other allied courses at a local Vo-Tech College; and was the founder of his own company, Endurance Sports Clinic, where he coached a team of endurance athletes. Now, a proud coach of EMG, he blends his own racing knowledge, scientific background and 6 years of personal training experience to deliver solid, real-life results to athletes of all levels. |

Liz Weidling, LMT, swim/tri coach. Liz grew up swimming competitively and discovered open water swimming and triathlon in 2001 after moving to Hawai’i and has been hooked ever since. Over the past decade she has coached age group, high school, and collegiate swimming as well as open water and triathlon clinics. She has a Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration and is a certified USAT Level I and USA Swimming coach as well a licensed massage therapist. |

Patrick Beesley has completed six Ironman distance races and a variety of half Ironman distance races. Pat gained an interest in triathlon after being "dragged" to his Dad's races while growing up. For the past 10 years he keeps finding ways to get a little faster but more importantly, finds greater enjoyment of the sport with each year. For 2010, he is preparing for Ironman Wisconsin. Pat helps keep the website up and running among other trival tasks.

Sally Berry Brown MA RD CSSD Bodyfuel, Inc., owner and certified sports nutritionist / registered dietitian. Adjunct professor for nutrition at Johnson County Community College. Sally started Bodyfuel, Inc in 2002 as a way to focus on her passion - sports and wellness nutrition. As a long time runner, biker, and swimmer and newer member of triathlete training, Sally knows the commitment and the energy necessary for successful sports performance. Sally is the regionʼs primary certified sports dietitian/nutritionist working with triathletes and endurance athletes, speaker, and wellness coach. She believes a good plan for nutrition makes the critical difference to feeling, good, improving body composition, preventing injury and increasing athletic performance. Sally is excited to introduce Nutrition Metabolic Efficiency testing in 2010 exclusively for the serious endurance athlete. When Sally is not working, she enjoys time with family and friends or seeking out a warmer climate - preferably with a beach, to spend some time swimming, running, biking or watching sea life. |

Nicole Burdge is a USAT Level I triathlon coach and co-owner of Gateway Endurance Training in addition she holds a bachelors degree in Nursing. Nicole spent eight years in Northern California training and working as an athlete and nurse. Born and raised in St. Louis she moved back to the Midwest with her husband and daughter a couple of years ago. Nicole has been competing in the sport of triathlon for over 15 years. Her triathlon career started with her toeing the line at the Ironkids triathlon and in 2007 she lived out her dream as she qualified and raced the Ironman World Championships in Kona.
