Thanks to all who came out and took part in the Kansas 70.3 race simulation EMG hosted on April 17th. The weather was perfect and all had a great training day. Thanks again to Ryan Robinson, race director for Kansas 70.3 for supporting and clearing time and space with park officials. GU Energy Products for supplying all the fuel at the energy stations and their continous support of the multisport community. Next time you are at an event and see their booth stop by and let them know you appreciate it so that they will continue to see value in taking care of their Midwestern athletes. EMG is hosting another, much more comprehensive 3 day camp in mid May and we would love to have you there. We are a coaching service that offers a unique ability to be much more comprehensive than any service in the region due to our collective experience, background and strengths in sport. You will not find any service in the area that comes as close to our level of ability, "know how" or actual race experience which can be translated into your success. We would love the opportunity to prove it to you and help you achieve your goals and get the most out of your training/racing experience. Read up more on Team EMG or our coaches bio's to find out who we are, what we stand for and why are so passionate about multisport. We can support and train athletes of ability levels; so if you are just wanting to get into the sport or if you want to race over in Hawaii this October we are the group to get you there.

Despite another cold, icy punch from KC’s newest nemesis Old Man Winter, EMG enjoyed a wonderful night of inauguration and celebration on Feb 20th, 2010. Nearly 60 people showed up to help us kick off a new year of training, racing and overall training season with EMG. The evening was filled with both excitement and purpose, which stemmed from several sources. First, there were the indulgences in food. Chef Renne Kelly catered in dishes that made us all glad we are triathletes—I think everyone had more than one plate of the Chef’s masterpieces!
Second, things were certainly spiced up when the Trek Store offered everyone exclusive deals for the night. People were able to peruse the Trek goodies, lay eyes on the new TEAM EMG jerseys showcased at front of the store and take in a picture show played at the opposite end. Toward the middle of the evening we had a lovely drawing, where we gave away bodywork from The Sport of Massage, PT/Coaching from Josh and some EMG swag that made everyone glad they stuck around!
Then came the purpose when one of our own described her battle with cancer. Everyone in the room was filled with hope, inspiration and motivation. By the end talk, we had a total of $875.00 in donations to Rock the Cure, a foundation set up to help fight cancer. A special thanks goes out to Ryan Robison, race director of the Topeka Tinman, Ironman Kansas 70.3 and Ironman Branson 70.3 races for donating an entry into the Topeka Tinman and IM Branson 70.3. Both of these were auctioned off with all funds going directly toward Rock the Cure. (If you are interested in making a donation to Rock the Cure, please click here). |

Dates Announced for EMG Summer Camps |
|
EMG is pleased to announce that for a third year we will be hosting two 5 day iron and half iron distance prep camps in the Midwest region. EMG's Five day prepatory camps will be held in Kansas City from July 28th through August 1st and in St. Louis from August 11th through the 15th. Check out our site for more specific event information. Both camps promise to provide the absolute best training around for athletes participating in events totalling 70.3 or 140.6 miles (sorry but got to stay legal with the big boys). We kick off each camp on Wednesday evening, have a half day (second half) Thursday and all day Friday leading into a mammoth weekend so that you can take as little time away from work and family. That being said, for 5 days you focus on training and pushing your body further and harder than you ever thought with completely supported open water swims, bikes and runs as well as expert coaching from our staff of 5 USAT Level I and US Swim Level I coaches.
